  • Nabu Na’id Hangover Meal

    Are you already excited for the Halloween Underworld party, but dreading the hangover next day? Don’t worry about it, because Nabu Na’id has got you covered. At the 1st of November we will organize a hangover meal. We will be cooking several Middle Eastern dishes, both appetizers, main dishes, deserts and prepare drinks for you.

    The meal will start at 17:00 and joining will only set you back 4 euros. If this sounds like an awesome idea to you then please sign up by sending an e-mail to nabunaid@gmail.com. Please include if you have any allergies, are vegetarian or vegan. We will try to take all of your preferences into account.

  • Maitreya Movie Night

  • Nabu Na’Id museum depot tour

    Have you always wanted to take a look inside the RMO depot? Nabu Na’id together with the RMO are organizing a depot tour of the RMO. And after the depot tour we will go to the new exhibition ‘Gods of Egypt’. There are only 12 spots, if you want to join you have to send an email to nabunaid@gmail.com. The applications open on monday 5 november ar 18:00.

    After last year’s success, the Terra Auction will return on the 15th of November. This auction is organized by the Acquisition committee to benefit the study association in order to organize more events.

  • Picardt Fieldwork Evening

    Are you interested in joining one of the many fieldwork projects Leiden University offers in Europe?Then the Picardt Fieldwork Evening is THE event for you! We have arranged a diverse palet of speakers to inform you about the projects they joined this summer, ranging from the murky swamps of Vlaardingen to the hills of Hungary.
    Our speakers on this day wil be:
    -Jan Dekker, who will tell us about his busy summer during which he went to both Barnham in England and Les Côtes in France.
    -Lisa van Luling, who went to excavate a Bronze Age tel in Hungary at Százhalombatta.
    -Nina Schuurman who, after telling you about her Mediterranean experience in Satricum during the fieldwork evening of Reuvens, will now entertain you with her tales about experimental archaeology in Vlaardingen (powerpoint included).
    -And last but not least Nele Reiffert, who went to survey the burial mounds of Baarlo and found many amazing things there
    Their short talks will take place on the 30th of November from 17:00 to 19:00, with drinks afterwards during which you can ask the speakers anything you want. The room will be announced soon.

  • Entco’s pubquiz

    Come and join us for the first EntCo pubquiz of the academic year!

    We will be testing your knowledge and wisdom,
    so please, do all come.
    With each round a different subject,
    you’d never know what to expect!
    And of course, there will be a prize
    but only for the most wise.

    So rally your friends and meet us upstairs in Café the Keyzer for the greatest pubquiz of the whole wide universe! (At least, we think so)

    Snacks will be provided for you, and you can get your beer downstairs in de Keyzer. We hope to see you then!

  • De Laet Fieldwork evening

    Are you interested in the Americas or just want to hear some exciting stories and anecdotes about excavations?

    Then you should definitely join our fieldwork evening where our guest speakers will tell you all about their experiences at excavations throughout the Americas!

    Our spectacular cast of speakers include Joris Geboers (Dominican Republic), Anika Hellemons (Chili) and Dylan van Dijk (New Mexico), so you definitely don’t want to miss out!

    Of course, there will also be snacks and drinks if you need more convincing.

    We will announce the room as soon as possible!

  • Nabu Na’id’s 1001 Nights Party

    The one and only annual 1001 Nights Party will commence soon! This year it will take place on the 29th of november, in the movie room of VSL Catena, with an entrance fee of 4 euros. It is time to take out your fanciest kaftan, your biggest turban or your highest fez to get into the magical middle eastern spirit! And who knows, maybe you will win a prize as the best-dressed party-goer 🙂
